Quest Diagnostics, the world’s leading provider of diagnostic information services, and Cary Medical Management (CMM) are teaming up to provide quality and cost-effective diagnostic services at Rocky Mount Family Medical Center (RMFMC), a primary care facility in Rocky Mount, NC.
As part of the collaboration, Quest plans to open a patient service center (PSC) and rapid response lab (RRL) directly adjacent to RMFMC in the third quarter of 2021. The RRL will be the first for Quest in Eastern North Carolina, providing quality outcomes and fast turn-around times.
CMM provides the foundation for the practice that will allow RMFMC to operate more efficiently and ultimately reduce costs for both patients and providers. Quest offers industry-leading and innovative testing services, a larger network of conveniently located patient service centers, broad health plan coverage and competitive pricing.
“Many clinics use in-house clinical lab services, which results in higher costs due to lack of scale. Our goal for this collaboration is to leverage Quest’s scale and expertise to take that burden off primary care facilities while keeping lab services local. This allows for fast turn-around times and will empower RMFMC to focus on what it does best – caring for its patients,” said Dr. Siu Tong, Chief Executive Officer at CMM.
