Greensboro, NC. June 04, 2024 – Triad Primary Care announced today its transition into a full-service family and primary care practice following its acquisition of Lake Jeanette Urgent Care in September 2021. Operating with a mission to provide personalized, high-quality care and better outcomes for its patients, the practice is led by two board-certified physicians, both with ties to Yale University.

Andrew Chow, MD, FACP, is a double-board certified physician with 30 years of experience, and is widely respected for his personalized treatment and collaborative care of patients. He joined Triad Primary Care from Yale New Haven Health, bringing expertise in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder as well as weight loss treatment for improved health and prevention of complications related to chronic disease.

Keung Lee, MD, PhD, MHA, is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine, addiction medicine and clinical research for over 20 years. Dr. Lee completed his internal medicine residency at Yale School of Medicine in Connecticut.

Both Dr. Chow and Dr. Lee have each been designated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as a civil surgeon to perform immigration medical examinations required for most green card applicants.

The practice is supported by a dedicated, experienced team of practitioners, including Traci Knight, FNP-BC, a nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in family practice, internal medicine and urgent care. Olaf Massenburg, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant educated at Duke University and Wake Forest School of Medicine with over 28 years of experience in the medical field. Cynthia Dalton, DNP, FNP-BC, has over 22 years of experience teaching as a nurse educator, caring for trauma patients and now in primary care.

“We’re excited to provide quality primary care and the convenience of same-day appointments to members of our community, but without the high co-pays and traditional episodic approach often associated with urgent care,” commented Dr. Chow. “We’re committed to educating patients and guiding them on achieving optimal health and wellness through continuous, value-based primary care on as-needed or long-term, preventive basis – all at a lower cost for patients, providers and payers.“

In addition to routine exams and preventive primary care, Triad Primary Care also provides physicals for sports, school and employment, medical weight loss treatment and opioid use disorder treatment. Other services include telehealth and same-day appointments, immunization, lab and COVID testing and x-ray imaging. Triad Primary Care is also one of the few providers in the Triad region certified to provide USCIS immigration physicals. It has 3 other clinics in the Triad region, including Kernersville Primary Care, Triad Internal Medicine and Triad Internal Medicine at Dublin Square, to deliver these comprehensive services.

Triad Primary Care is under the management of Cary Medical Management (CMM), a North Carolina-based physician management services organization (MSO), recently recognized as a 2024 Healthcare Innovation #1 Innovator Award winner in recognition of achieving 32% total medical cost reduction for patients across three national commercial payers. The company attributes this success in part to its strategic use of North Carolina’s state-designated health information exchange, NC HealthConnex, managed by the N.C. Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA). Clinics like Triad Primary Care can reduce hospital readmission rates and proactively reach out to patients for treatment based on a more holistic view of their patients using hospital discharge data and consolidated EHR records from NC HealthConnex.
